FAQs

Q: How Does Screen Sharing Technology work?

A: You will be instructed by the technician on how to download a small file (176KB). Once you have downloaded the utility you can double click on the technicians name to request help. This will initiate a connection to the technicians computer. You will actually be connecting to the technicians computer not the other way around. Once the connection is made the we can evaluate and fix your problem just as if we were sitting right in front of your computer. Once the support session is over the program is completely uninstalled from your system. The technician will lose all visibility and will not be able to access your computer anymore. In order for another support session to take place you would have to run the SUPPORT program again to initiate the connection to the technicians computer.

Q: Will I be able to see the technician control my computer?

A: Yes, you will be able to see everything the technician is doing. You'll see the technician moving your mouse around the screen as they fix your problem. You will be able to show them the exact problem you are having.

Q: Does the Technician have complete control over my computer?

A:  No You will always be in complete control and can terminate the session at any time by right clicking on the support icon in your taskbar and select close.

Q: Is it safe to let someone control my computer?

A: Yes, It's completely safe. Unlike a conventional computer repair shop where you drop off your computer and "hope" that they will fix it,  with our service you will be able to watch and be involved with everything the technician is doing throughout the process of repairing your system. You can stop the support session at any time by right clicking on the support icon in your system tray at the bottom right by your clock.
Once the support session has been terminated the connection is broken and the support program is completely uninstalled and removed from your system. The technician will not be able to access your computer again unless you download and run the support program again.

Q: How long will it take to fix my computer?

A: Every computer problem is different, some problems take longer to fix than others depending on the issue. Spyware / Virus issues can take a couple hours to fix depending on the infestation. You will be charged one flat rate upfront no matter how long it takes.
Our spyware / virus  solutions are designed to be permanent.
A wireless network lockdown would take about 30 minutes. Simple configuration issues like email set up or printers would be around 15 minutes.
